ADVANTAGE THERAPY

IN-HOME SERVICES

Cupping is a therapeutic practice that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction helps to mobilize blood flow, promote healing, and alleviate muscle tension and pain. Cupping is often used as a complementary therapy for conditions such as muscle soreness, inflammation, and stress relief.

Dry-needling

Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used by trained healthcare professionals, typically physical therapists, to treat muscular pain and dysfunction. It involves the insertion of thin needles into trigger points or tight bands of muscle tissue, aiming to alleviate pain, improve range of motion, and promote muscle relaxation. Unlike acupuncture, which is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and targets meridians to restore energy flow, dry needling focuses on addressing muscle knots and tension directly. This technique is often used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for various musculoskeletal conditions.

Dry Needling

Trigger points are hyperirritable spots within muscles that can cause localized pain, stiffness, and referred pain. Vibration therapy works by applying oscillating pressure to trigger points, which helps to relax tight muscles, increase blood flow, and desensitize pain receptors. It is commonly used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Electrical-Stimulation

Electrical Stimulation

Electrical stimulation therapy involves using electrical currents to stimulate nerves and muscles, aiding in pain relief, muscle strengthening, and rehabilitation. This may be done using dry needles inserted into specific points on the body, or with standalone electrical stimulation devices that are applied directly to the skin. Electrical stimulation works by activating sensory nerves, blocking pain signals, and causing muscles to contract, which can help to reduce pain, improve muscle strength, and accelerate healing.

Kinesio-Taping-Treatment

Kinesiology tape is a flexible adhesive tape applied to the skin to provide support, stability, and pain relief to muscles and joints. Unlike traditional athletic tape, kinesiology tape is designed to mimic the elasticity of human skin, allowing for a full range of motion. It can be applied in various patterns to achieve different therapeutic effects, such as reducing swelling, improving muscle function, and providing proprioceptive feedback.

Joint Mobilization & Manipulation

Joint mobilization and manipulation are manual techniques used to restore normal motion, correct alignment, and reduce pain in joints. Mobilization involves gently moving the joint through its natural range of motion to improve joint function and reduce stiffness, while manipulation involves applying a quick, controlled force to the joint to realign it and alleviate pain.

For Alignment and Pain Reduction

At-home lumbar Traction

At-home lumbar traction involves using a device to provide traction to the lumbar spine, helping to alleviate back pain and decompress spinal discs. Lumbar traction works by gently stretching the spine, which helps to reduce pressure on the spinal discs, relieve nerve compression, and improve spinal alignment. The device is designed for home use, allowing individuals to perform traction therapy in the comfort of their own home.
